Short bio 

Ana Rosenthal is the current journalism teacher and student publications adviser at the Episcopal School of Dallas, and the former mass communications department chair at The Hockaday School in Dallas. She has advised numerous student publications, including The Fourcast and The Eagle Edition newspapers, the news websites hockadayfourcast.org and esdeagleedition.org, the news magazine Jade, the yearbooks Cornerstones and Carillon, and the literary magazine Vibrato. Under her guidance, these publications have earned national honors and top awards for their content and design. Some of these awards include Columbia Scholastic Press Association Crown Awards, National Scholastic Press Association Pacemaker Awards, National Design of the Year Awards, NSPA Best of Show Awards, the University of Texas ILPC Star Awards and top awards from the National Federation of Press Women and The Dallas Morning News. These prestigious awards are considered some of the highest national honors in student journalism and are often referred to as the "Pulitzer Prizes" of the field.

Ana, who is a Journalism Education Association certified journalism instructor, is a 2013 Dow Jones News Fund Special Recognition Adviser, and a recipient of a 2017 Columbia Scholastic Press Association Gold Key Award, a 2024 ILPC Edith Fox King Award, and a 2025 Columbia Scholastic Press Association Centennial Award for Service. She also served as first vice-president of the CSPA Advisers Association.
